The Foundation is inspired by the late Mr B J Mehta – a teacher and a philanthropist. He had a unique worldview and spent the majority of his life focussing on how he could improve the lives of those around him who were less fortunate than himself. His family would like to keep this legacy going.
Mr Mehta's youngest son Atul and his wife Kokila are the driving force behind the foundation. Atul is a Professor of Haematology at University College London and Kokila is a General Practitioner. They are assisted in their work by a close family friend, Jayshree Vyas, who works in the financial sector in London and is a trustee of Swamiji's charities. Our spiritual leader is Swami Satyamitranandgiriji of Bharat Mata Mandir Haridwar. Mr Mehta was greatly inspired by him and his teachings which promote values of charity, equality and compassion.
